All aboard as we journey to Campo for an exploration of railroading in our own backyard! Begin your day with a stop at the Viejas Casino & Outlet Mall, where you'll have time on your own for lunch and shopping or to try your hand at Lady Luck. Then we’ll head east where you'll enjoy the rugged back-country scenery of San Diego County during a 45-minute round-trip ride on the Golden State train along the historic San Diego & Arizona Railway toward the Mexican border. Witness spectacular views of the open landscape, distant hills, and sprawling valleys from an exclusive vantage point. You’ll also explore the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum and take in their living history approach to preserving the physical legacy, historical context, cultural environment, and experience of railroading in the region. With over 80 artifacts and pieces of equipment on display, alongside vintage locomotives and train cars from the early 20th century, this museum offers a unique way to learn about rail travel and its background.
