- Grand Rooms Tour: Recommended for first-time visitors. Tour Hearst Castle’s opulent social rooms to imagine being a guest of William Randolph Hearst. The Grand Rooms Tour is 70 minutes long and includes approximately 140 steps, both up and down, and 2/3-mile walk.
- ON REQUEST ONLY - Upstairs Suites Tour: Ascend narrow winding staircases to explore the breathtaking libraries, guest accommodations, and Hearst's own suite. The Upstairs Suites Tour is 70 minutes long and consists of approximately 367 stairs, both up and down, and a 3/4-mile route to walk.
- ON REQUEST ONLY - Cottages & Kitchen Tour: Step back in time to see vintages enjoyed at the Castle, the sprawling kitchen that served dozens of guests, and two of the hilltop's sumptuously furnished guest cottages. The Cottages & Kitchen Tour is 70 minutes long and consists of approximately 193 stairs, both up and down, and a 3/4-mile route to walk.
Considerable walking and/or numerous steps involved, possibly on uneven surfaces. No elevators are present at destination. It may be challenging for persons with mobility restrictions to fully participate in the tour experience.
CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, AND CHANGE FEES: A deposit of $150 per person is required to secure your booking, with the final balance due 45 days prior to departure. You will receive a payment request email one week prior to ensure your payment is processed by your scheduled due date.
For this trip you may cancel your reservation 45 or more days prior to the tour’s departure date to receive a refund, less a $100 per person processing fee. Alternatively, you can avoid cancellation fees by moving your funds to another tour, or we can issue a voucher for the full amount of your payment for use on any future motor coach excursion. Passenger name changes, deviations, or other changes made by the passenger after the final payment deadline has passed will be assessed a $50 per person change fee plus any fees incurred by the service providers. No refunds, transfers or credits will be issued for any reason on reservations canceled after the cancellation deadline. Reservations made after the cancellation deadline has passed must be paid in full at the time the reservation is made and are non-refundable and non-transferable at that time. No refunds for failure to board the bus at the assigned time and place. Guests who choose to depart from a tour in progress, or who are denied re-boarding for violating safety protocols, are responsible for their own safety, transportation, and any expenses incurred. Unused portions of a tour are non-refundable. If DayTripper Tours cancels a tour, you are entitled to a full refund without penalty. Please allow 14 days for check and credit card refunds.
